At SalesBuddy (“we”, “us”, or “our”), we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines our practices regarding the collection, use, and storage of user data when you use our application. By using SalesBuddy, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.

Personal Information the App Collects

Read_Products

We need this permission to retrieve product information and display it to the Admin when a visitor browses the store or when a product is purchased.

Read_Orders

The application needs to register a hook to detect successfully completed orders and promptly notify the store front.

Read_Themes, Write_Themes

This permission allows us to read store’s themes information for the auto theme setup process.

Read_Script_Tags, Write_Script_Tags

This permission allows us to insert scripts to display notifications to buyers and send reports to the admin about the presence of visitors on the store.

How Do We Use Your Personal Information?

We use the personal information we collect from you and your customers in order to provide the Service and to operate the App. Additionally, we use this personal information to: Communicate with you; Optimize or improve the App; and Provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

Sharing Your Personal Information

We do not and will never share, disclose, sell, rent, or otherwise provide personal information to other third parties or companies (other than to specific Shopify merchants you are interacting with, or to third-party apps or service providers being used by the merchants you are interacting with) for the marketing of their own products or services.
Still, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful requests for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

Your Rights

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access your personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information is corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.
Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.
We receive the store data information from Shopify platform through Shopify API and Shopify Hooks.

Data Retention

Our retention practices are: for the store owner, data is stored in our app databases and is stored as long as the store owner continues using the app; when the store owner uninstalls the app, the data is deleted.
For order hook, all personal data is deleted as soon as the app receives the order hooks; no personal data is retained for this kind of information.
For application logs, data is collected for application analyzing, monitoring and security purposes, and is kept in 3 months (***).

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the “Effective Date” at the top of this page. You are advised to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your privacy.
